Considerations For PESCO Bill Calculation
When using the PESCO bill calculator to estimate your bills, the following are some considerations:
- Meter Reading: You should know the correct meter reading from your previous bill or the current reading on your meter.
- Rate per unit: Understand the rate per unit, usually indicated on your bill in Rs/kWh, which represents the cost of electricity for every kilowatt-hour you consume.
- Total kWh Consumed: To determine how much electricity you used this month, multiply the numbers on your bill by the number of days in the month. You'll get your total kilowatt-hours (kWh) used.
PESCO Bill Calculation Formula
For bill calculation, you should also consider the calculation formula to understand how the bill calculation occurs:
Monthly Electricity Bill = Watt Hours x Price per Kilowatt Hour (kWh)
PESCO Bill Calculation Method
To determine the total kilowatt-hours (kWh), there is a straightforward calculation. Given that 1 unit is equal to 1 kWh, the total kWh can be derived using the following steps:
1000 W x 24 Hours x 30 Days = 720,000 watt-hours.
To determine the value in kilowatt-hours (kWh), divide 720,000 by 1000, yielding a result of 720 kilowatts (kW).
With an estimated unit cost of about 20 PKR and a monthly average consumption of 720 kWh, the total cost can be determined using the provided formula.
Monthly Electricity Bill= 720*20= 14400
